Riverstone Benefit: Night of Nostalgia

Which other closed-down New York City saloon boasts a book, a movie, and a street named after it, all part of its lasting legacy?

Coogan’s held a unique place in the hearts of many.  An Irish pub famed not only for its delicious matzo ball soup but also for being a political epicenter in Upper Manhattan.

For one night only, you’re cordially invited to join the key figures who made Coogan’s legendary – Dave, Peter, and Tess- along with John Michaud, the author of “Last Call at Coogan’s – The Life and Death of a Neighborhood Bar,” with our M.C. for the night, Mike Fitelson of United Palace. It’s a fundraising event and book signing in support of Riverstone Senior Life Services.

Furthermore, we’ve extended invitations to the individuals mentioned in the book – elected representatives, and community advocates – to join the Coogan’s team and the author in autographing copies.

Come and relive the memories or create some new ones, as we guarantee an evening filled with nostalgia and camaraderie, all while supporting vital services at Riverstone Senior Life Services’ Older Adult Center and Memory Center.   Thursday, April 18th, 6 pm-8 pm at Riverstone Senior Life Services 99 Fort Washington Avenue, New York, NY 10032.
